When I’m gone, release me, let me go. I
have many things I need to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so
many years. I gave you my love; you can only guess how much you gave
to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown.
But now it's time I traveled alone.
So, grieve a while for if grieve you must. Then let your grieve be
comforted by trust. It’s only for awhile we must part. So bless the
memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on.
So, if you need me call and I will come. Though you can't see or
touch me, I’ll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you'll
hear all my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must
come this way alone.
I will greet you with a smile and say "welcome home"

Died fighting cancer. His courage, love,
and strength touched a lot of hearts and changed a lot of lives.

Better, far better than any wish I ever made – dreamer of dreams
that I am, they lose their luster and fade, I that carried a candle,
you will give me a star, death when you come and show me what manner
of life you are.

My friend, my love, and wonder more, my wife, what other love have
we, what other life? Where I may make amends for thoughtless strife.

Oh,
Fair New Mexico |
|
Oh, Fair New Mexico was
written by Elizabeth Garrett three years after New Mexico became a
state in the Union.
Under a sky of azure, where balmy breezes blow,
Kissed by the golden sunshine, is Nuevo Mejico.
Land of the Montezuma, with fiery hearts aglow,
and of the deeds historic, is Nuevo Mejico.
Chorus:
Oh! Fair New Mexico, we love, we love you so,
Our hearts with pride o're flow,
No matter where we go.
Oh! Fair New Mexico, we love, we love you so,
The grandest state we know — NEW MEXICO!
